**Good copy doesn't just sound nice. It moves someone from reading to doing.**
Somebody has to turn a topic into a blog post that actually gets read, a subject line that actually gets opened, a page that actually gets someone to act instead of bouncing. That's this role. You're not filling a content calendar to keep it full, you're writing things meant to change what the reader does next.
The subject matter and platforms shift depending on which business you're supporting. What doesn't shift: you write to get a result, not just to fill space.
**What the day-to-day looks like**
- Write SEO-friendly blog content that actually gets read and moves people toward a decision
- Write email sequences built to get opened, read, and acted on, not just sent
- Write website copy clear enough to keep someone on the page instead of bouncing
- Write ad copy for digital platforms, built around a specific conversion goal
- Use ChatGPT or similar tools to speed up first drafts, then apply your own editorial judgment on what actually ships
- Research a topic you didn't already know well enough to explain it simply to someone else
Requirements
**What we're actually looking for**
- 2–5 years writing blogs, email campaigns, website copy, and ad copy
- A portfolio of real, published writing you can point to
- Written English that's genuinely fluent grammar and tone that don't need a second pass
- Comfortable using ChatGPT or similar AI tools to draft faster, and confident enough to rewrite what it gives you into something that's actually yours
- Able to take a complex or unfamiliar topic and explain it in plain language
- SEO knowledge is a plus, not a requirement
**A few things that matter more than they sound like they should**
- Internet that doesn't drop mid-deadline
- You show up on time, every time
- If a draft isn't going to land on time, you say so before the deadline, not after
- You follow through on what you said you'd do, without anyone needing to chase you for it
Benefits
**How the process actually works**
Six steps, whether or not there's a client waiting on the other end:
- We read your CV, actually read it, not scan for keywords. Clearly AI-generated with nothing specific in it? That tends to show.
- A short intro video. Two minutes of you talking tells us more than a page of text, we're looking at how you come across on camera, your English, and your setup (camera, lighting, sound).
- A recruiter call, about 30 minutes. Bring a real example you can walk us through, not a general answer.
- A couple of short take-home exercises. Nothing that eats your whole evening.
- A reference check with someone who actually managed or worked closely with you.
- If a client's ready: one interview with them. They make the final call, but you won't repeat steps you've already done here.
Sometimes you'll finish this process and there won't be a client lined up yet. That's not a runaround, we'd rather get to know good people properly now, so we're ready the moment a client shows up, instead of starting from zero. If that's your situation, we'll tell you plainly where things stand, including when the honest answer is "nothing yet." Take another job while you wait? Completely fine, just let us know, and we'll pick things back up when the timing works.
If you make it to an interview, you'll get real, specific feedback either way. If your CV doesn't move forward, you'll still hear back, just via a quicker, more automated note. With the volume a posting like this gets, that's the only honest way to get back to everyone.
