About The Role

Evaluate and underwrite property, engineering, and miscellaneous proposals, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, with a focus on property, engineering, and miscellaneous lines.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including Marine and Liability, is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk and make informed judgments.
  • Proficiency in using underwriting software and tools to efficiently process proposals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision in underwriting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of proposals with tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach to learning and professional development.
