CEO- Limassol

The role
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead all of the activity at our port in Limassol. This CEO role manages the day to day operations as well as developing the long term plan to help grow the port. Limassol is the biggest port in Cyprus and a key strategic asset for the country so we are looking for someone who is comfortable managing a high value asset along with the leadership capability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
You will be reporting into our Senior Vice President of Ports and Terminals in Europe and working with him to achieve and build on the previous successes at the port. This is a multi use port that has both freight and cruise ship facilities so an understanding of both is vital.
You will manage a senior leadership team who will look after various key divisions within the port as well as working with the joint venture partner to create a fruitful and valuable relationship. You will also be maintaining strong relationships with outside authorities including unions, government officials and other key stakeholders.
You will develop long term plans that will allow the port meet its commercial objectives and be the key decision maker on any major capex projects. Safety is paramount at DP World and all of your plans will have safety as the central tenet making sure that all infrastructure is maintained and developed if required. DP World are going through a huge amount of change as we become and end to end logistics provider and you will be instrumental in making sure that Limassol is part of that change by breaking down silos and developing relationships with other CEOs in the Europe region.
So, who are we looking for?
Key skills and experience include:

• Extensive senior leadership experience leading a port, terminal, maritime organisation or a similar asset heavy environment
• A demonstrable track record in operational management, safety leadership, engineering or asset oversight and management of a large team and diverse projects
• Experience of full P&L capabilities, strong financial acumen and experience of budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
• Experience of developing diverse, multicultural teams, delegating authority effectively whilst maintaining accountability and succession planning
• An understanding of port related regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder experience and the ability to influence senior leaders from within corporate and governmental organisations.

The role
We are actively looking for a CCO for our UK Ports and Terminal business, this role is integral for our European business as we strive to become a leading end to end logistics provider. This role will be tasked to grow the revenue to over $1.0bn of revenue across London Gateway and Southampton with projected EBITDA at over $600mn. As you can imagine this role is going to be instrumental in driving the overall business for the UK.
You will be developing the growth strategy for both the ports which includes shipping lines, BCOs, Logistics Park, port- park integration and multimodal. As part of the ports leadership team in the UK you will be working with the leadership team to help deliver ambitious growth and be part of strategic decisions to make DP World the leading port operator in the UK.
You will develop a 3 to 5 year commercial growth portfolio that will include growing existing accounts alongside identifying new revenue streams and building business plans for long term investment into the port. Your role in instrumental in breaking down silos within the business making sure that you are prioritising total value enterprise value across all of your divisions instead of optimising individual business- unit revenues in isolation.
You will also develop a high quality commercial analysis capability that provides the leadership team and commercial leaders with timely, decision useful insight into business performance and growth. There will also be work around developing your own commercial forecasting that will allow you provide rolling forecasts, customer and volume outlooks, scenario modelling, risk and opportunities and early warning indicators.

Significant executive level commercial leadership experience within ports, logistics, supply chain, shipping, transport, infrastructure or related services

Proven success in delivering substantial revenue growth, profitability improvement and commercial transformation

Experience of leading large complex commercial organisations with significant financial accountability

Strong understanding of global trade, shipping, logistics, supply chains and customer solutions

Strong financial acumen and an incisive, analytical mindset that will shows strong decision making skills with proven success

MBA or equivalent executive qualifications desireable.
