About The Role
Job Overview
The Completions Coordinator (Onshore Landstation) uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Completions (OnsCon) discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Completions (OnsCon) discipline. The Senior Completions Spec (OnsCon) solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Completions Spec (OnsCon) impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Completions (OnsCon) team and other related teams and ensures they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within the Project team and with Client to maintain positive relationships
- Reports to the Commissioning Lead / Site Manager and responsible for coordinating the development of system packages and handover documentation
- To ensure system data integrity in the Project’s selected Completions Management System (PIMS) in accordance with the Completions Plan
- Understanding of key Engineering drawings for systemization and completion activities is essential
- Candidate will have strong analytical and attention to detail with experience in data manipulation
- Knowledge of the PIMS completions system would be desirable
- At Site, the Completions Coordinator is responsible for coordination of walk downs and punch list activities for Mechanical Completion, Ready for Commissioning, Ready for Start-Up activities during the EPC project execution in accordance with the approved Completions Plan and/or procedure(s)
- The project is in the HVDC Market and with Site at Büttel, Germany
- Proficient in English and conversant in German would be a plus
- Understand and implement the Completions Plan for the project
- Performs coordination of completion activities between Quality, Construction, Commissioning and Client personnel as necessary and monitor the field activities in an orderly manner according to commissioning priorities
- Make sure all Construction, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Completion Check Sheets are completed and signed off in the PIMS completions system
- Makes sure all punch items and preservation activities are completed and signed off in the PIMS completions system
- Co-ordinate the preparation and upkeep of the Master Punch Lists and Exception Lists for each package
- Compilation of system packages electronically or hard copied in accordance with contractual obligations
- Set up and population of progress reports for issue to defined distribution
- Interface with the Sub-contractors on site for all completion activities
- Review interfaces with Vendors and Third Parties
- Assist the Site QA/QC group in compiling project final handover documentation for submission to Client
Essential Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering or related field5 to 7 years' experience in completions management for onshore construction projects in the EPCI industry
- Preferably a degree Engineering or Information Technology but not essential
- Must have a minimal of 5 years’ experience on EPC projects as a Completions Specialist / Coordinator / Administrator
- Must have experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or Power industry in a Completions position
- Experience with PIMS completions system is desirable but other Completions Management System will be considered
- Understanding of key Engineering drawings such as P&ID’s, SLD’s, I&C architecture, telecom block diagrams, unit plot plans, etc
- Demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of construction and commissioning activities
- Must have a thorough understanding of the handover, walk down and punch listing processes
- Must have a thorough understanding of compiling system / handover packages
- Must have a good understanding of preservation and maintenance activities
- Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers
- Must have excellent computer software skills in MS Office suite as a minimum
- Knowledge of Power BI reports would be useful
- Must have good Presentation skills for meetings with Construction and Client
- Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to the needs of various discipline groups
- Must have the ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive and productive manner
