About The Role

SECTION I: Job Summary

The QC Inspector – Fireproofing performs inspection and testing of passive fireproofing application activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections on fireproofing application works.
  • Verify surface preparation, primer, and fireproofing material application against specifications.
  • Witness thickness (DFT/WFT) checks and adhesion tests per the ITP.
  • Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
  • Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
  • Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
  • Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (thickness gauges) used on site.
  • Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for fireproofing works.
  • Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and fireproofing standards.
  • Support preparation of quality documentation for fireproofing handover dossiers.

SECTION V: Required Experience and Education

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on fireproofing/coating application projects.

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
  • NACE/coating inspection certification preferred.
