About The Role

Wood is currently seeking experienced Production Technicians working a 21/21 offshore rotation to support a Romanian based project for a minimum of 6 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major gas infrastructure project, supporting the safe and efficient operation of metering and production facilities during day and night shift operations.

The Role

Rotation: 21:21

Duration: Minimum 6 months

The Production Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of offshore production facilities, including well clean-up campaigns, hydrocarbon export operations, and permit-to-work activities. This role will coordinate contractor-led well clean-up operations, monitor production performance, and work closely with supervisors to ensure operational targets and process parameters were maintained.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with HSE standards by conducting risk assessments, leading toolbox talks, enforcing safe work practices, and supporting emergency response activities to maintain a safe and incident-free work environment.

  • Support offshore start-up and commissioning activities to ensure a safe and efficient transition into production
  • Support export pipeline commissioning and hydrocarbon transfer to onshore facilities
  • Provide technical and operational support during commissioning, start-up, and early production phases
  • Oversee GPP back-gassing, forward flow operations, and Control of Work (CoW) permits
  • Supervise well clean-up activities and ensured compliance with operating procedures
  • Prepare shift handovers and coordinate with Production Supervisors to maintain optimal operating parameters
  • Enforce HSE standards, conducted risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks
  • Ensure permit compliance and safe execution of operational activities
  • Act as an Emergency Response Team member and first responder during incidents

Expected

  • Experienced in DCS/ICSS operations, process isolations/de-isolations, and plant line-up verification using P&IDs
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills in remote offshore and rotational environments
  • Strong HSE knowledge, including hazard identification, LOTO, permit-to-work systems, gas testing, and emergency response
  • Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage operational challenges
  • Skilled in troubleshooting process upsets and maintaining safe, efficient production operations
  • Offshore certifications including BOSIET/FOET, HUET, and a valid offshore medical certificate (e.g., OGUK)

Desirable

  • Engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience working within the North Sea energy sector, with an understanding of offshore operations
