About the Research & Development (R&D) Team

Within the Transformation Office, Research & Development (R&D) is a multidisciplinary team that delivers immediate value to Citco and its clients by creating innovative solutions and proofs of concept for evolving business needs. Through market analysis and in-depth research, the team identifies opportunities aligned with Citco's and its clients' strategic objectives. R&D collaborates with stakeholders to advance innovation, improve efficiency, strengthen competitiveness, and develop new products and services.

About the Role

The Lead Developer within the Transformation Office's R&D team will provide technical leadership for secure, scalable technology solutions supporting a strategic Fund Services transformation program using Sigma, the cloud-native analytics and reporting product from Sigma Computing. The role will lead research and delivery across cloud architecture, data integration, analytics, and related technologies.

Job Duties in Brief

• Research, design, and develop PoCs addressing complex business problems

• Design integrations, data models, semantic layers, and supporting services that enable Sigma solutions

• Optimize Sigma-based reporting capabilities for performance, usability, governance, and scalability
• -
• Design end-to-end systems on AWS for availability, security, performance, and maintainability
• -
• Lead delivery from feasibility through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support
• -
• Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, platform teams, and product teams
• -
• Guide developers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering standards
• -
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and enforce security and compliance requirements
• -
• Prepare technical documentation, demonstrations, and leadership reporting

About You

• -
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• -
• 4+ years of professional programming experience with strong Python skills
• -
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CI/CD
• -
• Ability to work independently and lead a technical team
• -
• Experience delivering production-grade data, analytics, or AI applications
• -
• Experience architecting complex systems

Technical Qualifications: Assets

• -
• Hands-on experience with Sigma
• -
• Experience designing data models and semantic layers for analytics products
• -
• Experience delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions
• -
• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

• Experience using Jira and Confluence
