Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE) to drive strategic quality initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert within our manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for leading customer complaint resolution, advanced root cause investigations, quality risk management, and process improvement programs to ensure world-class product quality and reliability. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, supporting new product launches, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead customer complaint investigations and drive timely resolution through containment, corrective, and preventive actions. Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and Six Sigma tools. Prepare and manage customer quality responses, including 8D reports and complaint closure activities. Conduct Process FMEA and support Design FMEA to identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks. Develop and maintain APQP deliverables, including Control Plans, Inspection Plans, and other quality documentation. Establish measurement standards, inspection methods, and gauge management systems to ensure product quality and reliability. Review non-conforming products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions. Plan and conduct QMS Internal Audits and Manufacturing Process Audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Perform capability studies, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve process performance. Lead tooling, process, and material qualification, validation, and process certification activities for new and existing products. Drive Safe Launch activities and support new product introductions, product transfers, and manufacturing readiness. Champion Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. What your background should look like Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control within the automotive and/or electronics manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards. Strong knowledge in connector manufacturing industry, plastic injection molding and automated assembly processes. Hands-on experience with Quality Management System (QMS) and Manufacturing Process Audits. Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Ishikawa Diagram, and DOE. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive root cause investigations and corrective actions. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels. Self-motivated with strong prioritization, time management, and ability to work independently. Positive mindset and strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Innovative and adaptable, with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization. Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and/or Tableau is preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or equivalent problem-solving certification preferred. Mandarin/Chinese language skills are an advantage.
