Job Overview: As a Governance Manager at Emirates NBD you will be in charge of managing a team of governance specialists to manage compliance queries, operations, risk and controls, process improvement and training. Key Responsibilities: Team Management and Leadership: Mentoring team members to achieve their personal growth agenda Compliance and ops Risk: Maintaining a high level of awareness regarding policy and procedure and fostering collaboration with customers, Relationship Managers (RMs), centers, and compliance teams. Operational Support: Acting as main point of contact for the staff segment and coordinate actions to provide all relevant support. Remediation Projects & training : Assisting Sr. Manager Governance in all ongoing group and team projects and any thematic reviews as identified. Customer Centricity: Maintaining a high level of communication standards whether verbal or written and ensuring timely and meaningful engagement with customers on assigned alerts and remediation tasks. Stakeholder management: Identify key stakeholders and analyze their needs & expectations. Skills and Experience: University Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or Equivalent would be preferable. External certifications like ACAMs, ICA or any other risk management learning courses would be an added advantage 7-10 years in a Banking/ Financial industry managing business risk, operations, policies & procedures. Experience in managing large teams. Knowledge of KYC & financial crime risks. Project management skills. Experience in attending, managing internal risk forums.
