R&D Materials Engineer

About The Role
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 6 years of industrial R&D, product development, applications engineering, or manufacturing engineering experience in a technology-driven environment. Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of some experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Copper and other thermal management materials, semiconductor packaging materials, metallurgical processing and heat treatment, materials characterization and failure analysis, process-structure-property-performance relationships, joining technologies (diffusion bonding, brazing, soldering, welding, etc.), surface engineering, coating and deposition technologies.
- Hands-on experience with materials testing and analysis such as mechanical and thermal property measurement, microstructural analysis and surface characterization.
- Proven ability to design and execute experiments and analyze technical data.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, data analytics, and/or machine learning methods.
- Understanding of fundamental sciences of a variety of metals manufacturing processes.
- Solid understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good team skills, interpersonal skills, project management skills and written & verbal communication skills.
