About The Role
Key Result Areas
- Verify that all the requirements imposed by the Operational and Infrastructure Safety Certificates and the Ministry of Transport (MOT) are being adhered to
- Ensure compliance of service providers to EN 50126, EN 50128, EN50129, IEC 61508 or equivalent standards.
- Act as the custodian of the Education City Hazard Management, Hazard Log administration IT system, regulating access, managing functions and making improvements. Analyze Hazard Log data and develop cost efficient solutions to improve the inherent (as designed) operational safety performance across the QF ECT Operations.
- Undertake & update the HAZID (Hazard Identification) / HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) regularly to support the Safety Review Board meeting
- Verify that the safety cases outline the safety risks associated with tram operations and describe the measures in place to mitigate those risks, ensuring the safety and reliability of tram services.
- Carry out safety inspections and audits on Service Providers to identify potential hazards, assess risks, verify the effectiveness of risk management strategies and compliance with standards / rule book etc.
- Review regularly and update policies and procedures to align with changing regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with tram operations and maintenance teams to ensure that safety and compliance considerations are integrated into daily operations and risk mitigation measures are effectively implemented.
- Support and collaborate with Maintenance Section in FRACAS, FRB and RCA to identify equipment reliability issues, recommend corrective actions, and enhance performance and operational availability.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of system architecture models, including Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) analyses.
- Coordinating and ensuring the implementation of system reliability requirements during operational phases.
- Serving as the technical lead for Systems Assurance teams, covering RAM, EMC, Fire & Life Safety (FLS), and Human Factors.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a relevant field & 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience, 2 of which at a supervisory level, in System Assurance in an Operational Railway industry
- ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 internal or lead auditor certification is desirable
- Incident investigation skills is desirable
- Good knowledge of the MOT Railway Safety Regulation Authority’s requirements
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and professionally with personnel from QF and other Organizations.
- Gathering and analyzing audit evidence, assessing compliance with standards and regulations.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and other Hazard log software -Comply Pro
