Specialist / Consultant Maternal & Fetal Medicine - UK CCT/South African Board

Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant in Maternal & Fetal Medicine with UK CCT to join its specialist obstetrics and gynecology team. The successful candidate will provide expert care for women with high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal and fetal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level care for high-risk and complicated pregnancies.
• Conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments and develop individualized management plans.
• Manage maternal medical conditions and pregnancy-related complications.
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessments.
• Provide antenatal screening, fetal surveillance, and prenatal counselling.
• Diagnose and manage fetal abnormalities and other complex fetal conditions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with obstetricians, neonatologists, geneticists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
• Provide appropriate counselling regarding fetal diagnosis, treatment options, and pregnancy management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical governance, teaching, research, audit, and quality-improvement activities.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with recognized advanced training/subspecialty expertise in Maternal & Fetal Medicine .
• Specialist registration with the relevant UK medical authority.
• Relevant post-CCT experience in Maternal & Fetal Medicine.
• Experience in a tertiary-care or fetal medicine unit is preferred.
• Strong expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex fetal conditions.
• Eligible for DOH/DHA medical licensing , depending on the location.
• Excellent clinical, communication, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
