Specialist / Consultant Medical Oncologist in a Leading Healthcare Facility

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Medical Oncologist to join its expanding cancer care team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive oncology care, including cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, systemic therapy, and long-term management of patients with a broad range of malignancies. The role offers an opportunity to work within a modern oncology environment with advanced treatment facilities and a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of malignant conditions.
• Develop individualized cancer treatment plans based on clinical findings, pathology, imaging, and treatment guidelines.
• Administer and manage systemic anti-cancer therapies as appropriate.
• Monitor treatment response, side effects, and disease progression.
• Provide comprehensive follow-up and survivorship care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and treatment planning meetings.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
• Manage oncology-related complications and treatment-related adverse effects.
• Provide appropriate patient and family counseling regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, evidence-based practice, and clinical governance.

Requirements

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology .
• Relevant post-specialization experience in oncology.
• Strong experience in the diagnosis and management of solid tumors and/or hematological malignancies.
• Candidates with UK CCT / MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board , or equivalent internationally recognized specialist qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in a tertiary-care hospital or comprehensive cancer center preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to patient-centered cancer care and clinical excellence.
• Subspecialty expertise in breast, gastrointestinal, lung, genitourinary, gynecological, or hematological oncology will be an advantage.
