Anti-Financial Crime Operations Team Lead

• Mentor and empower a team of AFC experts, fostering continuous professional growth and transferring your deep industry knowledge.
• Act as the primary escalation point for reviewing and triaging complex, high-risk transaction-based alerts and case investigations.
• Ensure operational excellence by taking full ownership of the QA framework, ensuring strict adherence to investigation standards and SLAs.
• You have proven ability to lead operational teams against clear SLAs, quality standards, and client outcome metrics while maintaining strong judgment under pressure
• You have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to align Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and client-facing teams around priorities and improvements
• You have several years of experience in an Anti-Money-Laundering/Anti-Financial Crime related operational role within fintech, payments, banking, or a comparable environment
• You bring a deep understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies, as well as other suspicious activities, and the operational controls required to effectively mitigate these risks
• You are experienced in improving operational processes, documentation, QA frameworks, tooling, and automation in partnership with Product, Data, and Engineering
• You have prior experience in people leadership and managing AFC Operations experts in a high-volume environment
• You have excellent communication skills in English and German to lead the team effectively
• You have a strong sense of ownership and the ability to act as a credible escalation point for complex, ambiguous, or high-severity cases
