About The Role
We are looking for an HR Specialist in Shanghai to manage day-to-day HR operations. This role will act as the local HR representative, ensuring smooth employee support, HR compliance, and benefits administration locally while partnering with the APAC/International HR team and other stakeholders.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Manage and execute day to day administrative and operational HR tasks.
- Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date employee records, documentation and personnel files in accordance with company policies, data privacy requirements and record retention standards
- Ensure HR practices comply with China employment laws and company policies
- Manage employee local onboarding processes, partnering with International/ US HR manager, HRBPs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant employee experience.
- Support implementation and communication of global and local HR policies and maintain the China Employee Handbook.
- Work closely with HRBP and HQ to ensure policies are communicated clearly and implemented effectively
- Support payroll, benefits, HR reporting, audits, and HR projects
- Support site events and wellbeing initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist and processes transactional activities according to the HR processes defined by company.
- Responsible for employee certificate preparation or any other documentation required in Chinese and issue the hardcopy for employees.
- Work as the system admin for DingTalk leave system including employee account management, annual leave/carryover entitlement calculation and set up in system, annual leave reminder preparation and any other system support as per request.
- Support in HR Operation projects locally as set by company globally.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration or a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations and/or administration
- Experience working with a US company preferred
- Strong understanding of China employment practices, HR operations, and local labor regulations.
- Experience managing employee records, HR documentation, onboarding, leave administration, payroll inputs, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and employee data management is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and customer-oriented mindset
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
