Junior Analytics Engineer

Join Top Hat as a Junior Analytics Engineer, where you'll be part of a small but impactful data team serving various operational teams. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining data models, monitoring data pipelines, building internal dashboards, and assisting with ad-hoc data requests. You'll have the opportunity to learn and apply modern data tools and software engineering best practices.

• Développer, maintenir et optimiser des modèles de données pour garantir l'intégrité des données et la fiabilité des pipelines.
• Surveiller les pipelines de données, identifier et résoudre les incohérences dans les processus existants.
• Apprendre l'entreprise, traduire les exigences des parties prenantes en requêtes SQL propres et efficaces sous la direction de membres seniors de l'équipe.

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Bonus points for: Experience working in tech products, particularly in startups. Recent experience in higher ed as a teacher or student
• Eagerness to learn and apply modern data tools (dbt, Airflow) and software engineering best practices (Git, testing)
• Solid foundation in SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization) and Python
• Familiarity with data modeling and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
• Detail-oriented, with a drive to solve technical problems in collaborative, hands-on settings
• 1-2+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or similar quantitative work
