Software Engineering Summer 2027 Internship (MS, Behavior Test)

Join Waymo's Systems Engineering team as a Software Engineering Summer Intern in 2027. • Design and implement metrics, test plans, and simulated scenarios for testing the autonomous vehicle in off-nominal situations.
• Create dashboards to monitor, visualize, and analyze fleet-wide autonomous vehicle fault rates on public roads.
• Build automated pipelines using Python and SQL to update, version, and validate test coverage across safety-critical driving scenarios.
• Enthusiasm to understand a complex system and its various components
• Experience with data analysis/modeling using Python and SQL
• Currently enrolled in a MS program in an engineering, computer science, or a related technical field of study
• Comfortable with ambiguous problems in a fast paced environment
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle technology and systems engineering principles
