In house designer/ seamstress

As Design Intern for Hasana, Inc. you will have a variety of responsibilities through the semester. Our Design teams are looking for interns in a number of different areas, including Jewelry, Handbag’s, Men’s and Women’s Apparel and Accessories and Fine Stationery.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to

• ● Sourcing and swatching fabrics
• ● Researching and originating ideas for collection
• ● Organizing and archiving article numbers and price information for all fabrics and trims
• ● Communicating with factories, patternmaker and sample-makers to ensure quality and design execution
• ● Creating inspiration boards & drawing flats
• ● Developing presentation boards
• ● Organizing fabric files and samples
• ● Assisting with ordering fabrics
• ● Expediting samples
• A passion for women’s economic opportunities
• ● Must be a full or part-time student and working toward a degree
• ● Must be eligible to receive school credit and commit to 2-3 days a week for 3 months
• ● Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously
• ● Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and other groups as necessary both internally and externally
• ● Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
• ● Strong computer skills, PC with experience in Windows NT, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable softwares
• ● Integrity, honesty, openness and a willingness to operate as a team player
