Electrical Engineering Co-op (Summer 2027, June 2027)

Join Shield AI, a mission-driven and innovative engineering company, as an Electrical Engineering Co-op for the summer of 2027. This paid, full-time program offers hands-on experience in real-world hardware development and testing. You will work on a project tailored to your start date, duration, and location, and your work will directly contribute to the success of our autonomous aircraft development program. You will be partnered with a senior engineer for mentorship and guidance.

• Participate in the design, simulation, and verification of high voltage power electronics and circuit boards.
• Collaborate with a senior engineer to bring up and validate new avionics systems, identify bugs, and drive changes to fix them.
• Take ownership of a project tailored to the start date, duration, and location of the Co-op, contributing directly to the success of the aircraft development program.
• Have been part of an engineering team/club
• Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
• Have completed at least the 2nd year of a relevant degree. Typically, Electrical Engineering
• Strong technical fundamentals
• Experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCAD, an oscilloscope, etc
• Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results
