Community Engagement Internship (Summer 2027)

Join Zipline's Community Engagement Team as a Summer 2027 intern. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with local government officials, civic organizations, business groups, neighborhoods, and schools. You will help design and implement strategies to engage community members, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach initiatives. The internship is a full-time, in-person position in Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, or Phoenix.

• Assisting in the planning, promotion, and execution of community events, workshops, and virtual meetups.
• Supporting the development of content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
• Conducting research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies, and helping track engagement metrics.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. You must have completed the second year of your undergraduate studies
• Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups)
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Creative thinker who brings enthusiasm and initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for community building and social impact
• Must be able to travel frequently throughout Dallas, Texas, Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, California, OR Phoenix, Arizona. Requires transportation (not company provided) and the ability to independently travel to operational sites, events, communities, and partner locations as needed
• This internship is a full-time position, in-person at our Dallas, Texas, Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, California OR Phoenix, Arizona office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May/Jun to Aug/Sep. Zipline is unable to sponsor work visas for applicants to this position
