About The Role
Join Hippo, a fast-growing InsurTech company, as a Data Analyst. In this role, you will take ownership of critical operational analytics, design dashboards, uncover insights, and drive decisions. You will present findings directly to stakeholders and operational leaders, and have the autonomy to shape how shared services uses data to optimize operations. - SQL proficiency - can write efficient queries against databases/data warehouses
- Tableau (or similar BI tool) - comfortable building dashboards from scratch
- Excellent communication skills
- Storyteller - can present data insights clearly to non-technical audiences, explains 'why' not just 'what,' connects findings to business recommendations
- 6+ years of data analytics experience
- Analytical problem-solving - comfortable scoping ambiguous problems and recommending approaches
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM
- Attention to detail - data quality and accuracy matter; you catch inconsistencies
- Self-starter mindset - takes initiative to identify opportunities, gathers requirements without being asked, doesn't need handholding
- Insurance, healthcare, or regulated industry experience
- Familiarity with HR or operations analytics
- Exposure to data governance or compliance reporting
- Proven experience leveraging AI to automate job functions
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
