Financial Controller (Interim, Maternity Leave)

Join Tiqets, a fast-growing tech company in the travel industry, as an Interim Financial Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial operational excellence, managing the full financial closing cycle, driving process automation, and leading statutory reporting and audit coordination. You will work closely with the Manager of Finance and be a key contact for finance tooling and internal controls across the business. This is a 7-month interim position based in Amsterdam.

• Ownership of the full financial closing cycle, driving process automation, and managing daily working capital.
• Preparation of financial statements, responsible for monthly closings and accurate reporting, and creating weekly cash flow prognoses.
• Optimizing internal controls, maintaining the internal control framework, and further automation of finance processes.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a dynamic setting
• Based in the Netherlands with valid local work authorization
• Fluency in English with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
• 5+ years of experience in financial control, audit, or core accounting—ideally within an international or high-growth tech environment
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; RA qualification (or equivalent qualification path) is preferred
• Practical mindset with a passion for process automation, system efficiency, and continuous improvement
