About The Role

As a Field Operations Specialist at AIM, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support and ensuring the reliability of IT systems and networks across multiple industrial sites. You will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving issues on-site, managing IT equipment, maintaining local network infrastructure, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support to employees in offices, factories, sorting centers, and other AIM facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstations, printers, business software, endpoints, and local network connectivity.
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment, network devices, and infrastructure.
  • Participate in IT projects such as system migrations, network upgrades, site openings, and equipment rollouts.
  • Perform network troubleshooting on-site, including LAN, WLAN, and VPN configurations.
  • Assist with switch and router configuration under supervision of senior engineers.
  • Ensure proper connectivity and performance of wired and wireless networks.
  • Document incidents, solutions, and network changes in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate closely with L1, L2, and L3 support teams to ensure continuity and quality of service.
  • Travel regularly to AIM sites to deliver in-person technical support, system maintenance, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in a bilingual environment (French/English).

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in IT field support or technical support, ideally in an industrial or multisite environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud applications.
  • Hands-on experience with network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, access points).
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds) is an asset.
  • Proficiency with remote support tools (RDP, TeamViewer, LogMeIn) and ticketing systems (Ivanti, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for frequent travel.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
