About The Role

LUNEX is a young and ambitious University of Applied Sciences in Luxembourg attracting students from Europe and beyond and offering high-quality and innovative teaching and learning in higher education and research.

We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit a performance-oriented and hands-on Marketing Team Lead who will play a key role in strengthening programme visibility, generating demand, supporting student recruitment and improving measurable marketing performance.

Role Overview

The Marketing Team Lead is responsible for LUNEX's local marketing activities, including demand generation, recruitment marketing, integrated campaigns, digital channels, marketing content and performance measurement. Working within the Group marketing strategy and framework, the role translates LUNEX's institutional, programme and recruitment priorities into effective local marketing plans and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Prioritisation

  • Develop and implement LUNEX's annual marketing plan within the Group marketing strategy and framework, translating institutional and recruitment priorities into campaigns, budgets, timelines and measurable objectives,
  • Contribute local market insight and LUNEX-specific requirements to the development of Group marketing strategy, standards and initiatives,
  • Prioritise marketing activities, allocate local resources effectively and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage the local marketing budget within agreed parameters and make recommendations on resource allocation based on performance,
  • Act as the main local point of contact for marketing matters and advise internal stakeholders on appropriate marketing approaches,
  • Coordinate team members, interns, agencies and external service providers required for marketing delivery.

Integrated Marketing Campaigns & Recruitment Marketing

  • Develop and lead integrated marketing campaigns for academic programmes, institutional initiatives, research activities and other agreed priorities,
  • Define campaign objectives, target audiences, value propositions, channels, timelines, budgets and expected outcomes,
  • Coordinate campaigns across web, social media, email, paid and organic digital channels, video, print and events,
  • Develop marketing activities that generate awareness, interest and qualified prospective-student leads for LUNEX programmes,
  • Work closely with Student Admissions to understand recruitment priorities, target audiences, campaign timing and lead-generation requirements,
  • Ensure effective handover of marketing-generated leads to Student Admissions through agreed CRM processes and workflows,
  • Analyse campaign and funnel performance jointly with Student Admissions to improve lead quality and marketing effectiveness.

Digital Marketing, Content & Channels

  • Manage LUNEX's marketing presence across relevant digital channels within Group brand, digital and communication standards,
  • Coordinate marketing content for the LUNEX website, ensuring accuracy, relevance, effective programme positioning and appropriate calls to action,
  • Oversee social-media planning and campaign content for recruitment and promotional purposes,
  • Ensure the effective development of marketing materials, including digital assets, brochures, advertisements, presentations, exhibition materials and promotional items,
  • Define and brief creative requirements and oversee the quality of work delivered internally or by external agencies and suppliers,
  • Ensure that marketing content and materials comply with institutional brand and communication standards,
  • Work with Communication where content has both promotional and institutional or reputational implications.

Multimedia Marketing

  • Define priorities, concepts, audiences and formats for multimedia and video content based on marketing objectives,
  • Oversee the production of long- and short-form video, interviews, reels and other campaign assets,
  • Brief and coordinate team members, interns, videographers, production companies and agencies involved in content production,
  • Ensure that multimedia content supports agreed campaign objectives and meets appropriate brand and quality standards.

Marketing Events & External Visibility

  • Maintain a marketing and recruitment-events calendar aligned with institutional priorities and target audiences,
  • Identify relevant fairs, exhibitions, school events and other promotional opportunities from a marketing perspective,
  • Coordinate Marketing's contribution to events, including promotional materials, stands, digital assets, lead capture and campaign follow-up,
  • Work closely with Student Recruitment on events involving direct engagement with prospective students, with responsibilities allocated according to the respective functional mandates,
  • Support institutional events, including graduation, where marketing input is required; institutional communication and media coverage remain within the Communication function.

Performance Marketing & Market Insight

  • Define and monitor marketing KPIs including audience reach, engagement, website traffic, lead generation, lead quality, cost efficiency and campaign return on investment where measurable,
  • Monitor downstream outcomes, including applications and enrolments, jointly with Student Recruitment to assess the quality and effectiveness of marketing-generated demand,
  • Analyse campaign, channel and audience performance and translate findings into improvements in targeting, content, channel mix and resource allocation,
  • Contribute to market, competitor and audience analysis to support programme positioning, segmentation and marketing priorities,
  • Ensure appropriate use of CRM, analytics and marketing tools to provide reliable funnel and campaign insight,
  • Prepare regular reporting on marketing performance, priorities, planned actions and recommended improvements.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day work of the Marketing team, including workload allocation, objective setting, feedback, coaching and professional development,
  • Ensure effective use of internal resources and external expertise and maintain clear accountability for delivery,
  • Build effective working relationships with academic and administrative departments, Student Recruitment, Group Marketing and other relevant stakeholders,
  • Work closely with Communication to maintain clear functional ownership while ensuring coherent brand, messaging and institutional positioning,
  • Participate in Group marketing initiatives, share local insights and good practices, and implement agreed Group standards and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communication or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience,
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional marketing experience, with demonstrated responsibility for campaigns, digital marketing and measurable marketing performance,
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing team members, setting priorities and managing complex projects and external suppliers,
  • Experience in higher education, education services, professional services or an international environment is an advantage.

Marketing & Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of integrated and digital marketing, audience segmentation, campaign management and demand generation,
  • Experience with paid and organic digital campaigns and relevant social-media platforms,
  • Strong understanding of marketing funnels, CRM/lead-management processes, marketing automation and campaign analytics,
  • Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into practical decisions and improvements,
  • Strong content and storytelling judgement and the ability to brief and evaluate creative and multimedia work,
