Operator I, Transportation Ops (Street Sweeping)

Job Summary The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is looking for a Street Sweeper Operator to work the day shift on our Street Sweeping Crew. Our Sweeper Operators perform work related to day-to-day operations and functions of the Streets Departments including operating and maintaining street sweepers to clean City streets curb to curb; and performing snow and ice removal duties. This is a full-time, benefited position with an anticipated base salary range of $49,000-$56,000. Note to Applicants: This position requires a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive. Operates and maintains equipment which may include front-end loader, bulldozer, skid steer, dump truck, backhoe, farm tractors, pavement marking sign equipment, street sweeper, paving equipment, mowing or other vegetation management equipment, and other heavy equipment as needed. Patch broken or eroded pavement; remove debris from roadway. May construct and maintain pavement markings / signs, and signals and participate in traffic control activities.
