About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

  • Operate production equipment such as Nimco machinery, Fogg lines, baggers, pumps, valves, and related production systems.
  • Set up and calibrate machinery for production runs.
  • Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure, and temperature to maintain optimal performance.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently throughout production.

Quality Control

  • Monitor production output to ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety standards.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Identify and report product defects, process deviations, or quality concerns.
  • Take corrective action within the scope of the position.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete production records and logs accurately.
  • Record machine settings, production quantities, downtime, and performance information.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment issues.
  • Communicate production concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and make minor repairs or adjustments as required.
  • Escalate equipment failures and maintenance concerns appropriately.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

Safety & Food Safety

  • Follow all GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, Quality, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of machinery operation.
  • Basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Experience

  • Previous experience operating manufacturing or food processing equipment preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience is an asset.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required by production operations.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as operationally required.
