Senior Product Manager (Money)
Babylist · Ottawa, Canada
About The Role
Join Babylist as a Senior Product Manager (Money) and take ownership of the Early Investor product experience. You will define the monetization strategy, drive top-of-funnel growth, and build sticky product features that keep families engaged with Babylist long after the baby shower. You will work closely with an engineering manager and a team of engineers, and communicate wins, failures, and learnings to leadership. Enjoy benefits such as paid time off, flexible benefits, health and wellness coverage, and a generous Babylist Store discount.
- Ownership of the Early Investor product experience, including defining the monetization strategy and driving top-of-funnel growth.
- End-to-end management of the Early Investor product, from ideation to execution, including defining success metrics and iterating based on feedback.
- Collaboration with engineering teams to ensure successful product development and delivery, while also communicating progress and outcomes to leadership.
- Owned a roadmap — not just executed someone else's priorities; you've had to sit with the blank page, decide what matters, and defend it
- You naturally reach for AI in your work — at Babylist, every team uses AI daily; you use it to make your job more effective, not to showboat; you're already reaching for it to get answers yourself rather than waiting on someone else
- Technically hands-on — you work directly with engineering daily, can QA your own work, ask smart technical questions, and move fast without waiting for answers; engineering is your partner, not your resource
- Data-driven by default — when you see a problem, your first instinct is to find the number that defines it and propose ways to move it
- B2C experience is a plus — understanding how to work with a large consumer audience is helpful, though strong product instincts and growth experience in any context can translate
- Comfortable with zero-to-one — you've built or co-built something new, not just optimized an existing product
- Growth-minded by instinct — you see a metric that needs to move and you immediately start generating hypotheses; you energize your team to begin experimentation with clear ways to measure
- Organized and systematic — you keep stakeholders informed without being asked, and you have a clear system for how you track progress and communicate plans
- Strong communicator with a clear point of view — you can present to leadership, defend your work, and know when to acquiesce; you have strong opinions, loosely held
- Outcome-obsessed — you think in terms of revenue impact and measurable results, not shipped features; you can point to at least one project and say exactly what it drove for the bottom line
