Principal Platform Software Engineer (C++)

to join our R&D team at Evolv, a company dedicated to crafting the future of security. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, improve software engineering practices, and work hands-on with our team of software engineers. You will maintain and improve our existing C++ codebase, collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to system design and architecture discussions. You will also support build automation and CI/CD pipelines, translate mathematical algorithms into optimal C++ code, and design and implement real-time systems.

• Provide technical leadership and improve software engineering practices while being hands-on with the team of software engineers.
• Maintain and improve the existing C++ codebase with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability, and identify and resolve software defects.
• Lead the design and implementation of a major new multi-product software platform, from concept to deployment, and drive performance benchmarking and optimization initiatives.
