About The Role
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will assist with the daily administrative, operations and staffing needs of the employment office and must be able to deliver a high level of customer service to both internal customers (Operational Managers, Employment Managers, Co-workers and Peers) and external customers (Job Seekers; Applicants; Project/Site Owner Personnel).
Job Description
- Conducts operational and administrative portions of the hire process (track background checks, assist with scheduling drug screens and health screens, assist with maintaining I-9 compliance, complete and review employment packets, and site-specific requirements).
- May be asked to track and report data on staffing plan processes.
- Administrative duties including data entry, answering phones, taking messages, filing, logging supplies, making service calls, etc.
- Customer Service including assisting walk-in customers, assisting job seekers with completing applications online, craft testing, NCCER testing, etc.
- Utilizing Google Docs to be familiar with open requisitions and needs of both Zachry and JVIC needs.
- Review applications and work history of potential candidates
- May assist Employment Manager and recruiters with Zachry Craft Employment Staffing Plan Processes (Forecasting; Sourcing; Requisitions; Recruiting; Hiring; Retention and Redeployment
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of employment processes and federal/state employment law
- Ability to plan and make decisions
- Be able to resolve conflict and problems
- Technical skills with standard software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point etc.
- Excellent people skills including collaboration, communication, presentation and team-building skills
- High level of customer service
- Commitment to Zachry values, practices and policies
Preferred but not required
- 1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree
- PHR or SPHR Certification

Physical demands and work environment
- Physical demands : Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be required to stand, walk, sit, and bend. Will use hands to type, grab, handle or feel objects. Will reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. May occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Will use vision abilities to view objects/people and close and long distances, color perception, depth perception and peripheral views.
- Work Environment : Talent Acquisition Coordinator may work at employment office, project/site office or area, offsite facility such as a conference or school room or other designated location. Noise level can be high to moderate. People walking traffic can be high to moderate.
