Associate Director - Community Programs

Essential Functions - Direct programmatic functions and supervise their leaders to achieve growth in users, usage and impact and provide consistently excellent customer service - Oversee the delivery of collections, programs and services, tools and technology through the Library’s programming activities - Oversee coordination with Branch Managers and the Assistant Director -Outreach to deliver programming within the branches and outside the library for special projects and initiatives - Organize and structures educational functions to achieve mission, support key strategic distribution channels, provide authority to support responsibility, and balance positional responsibilities - Identify leadership development and skills training needs and opportunities related to functions overseen, and works with training and development to put them in place - Attend BOT meetings and provides updates on programming trends and results and impact on key community initiatives - Develop and support the use of volunteers in meeting programming and educational needs - Collaborate with Library Foundation on potential grant opportunities - Develop third-party partnerships that deliver best execution and extend the capacity of Library staff
