As an Assistant Recreation Manager , you’re not just supervising daily recreation operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay special for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day
- Supervise recreation operations: Support the Recreation Manager in overseeing the Fitness Centre, Spa, pools, and recreational facilities to ensure smooth, efficient and consistent daily operations.
- Lead the recreation team: Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching and performance management while motivating team members to deliver exceptional service in line with Hilton standards.
- Enhance guest & member experiences: Anticipate guest and member needs, build strong relationships, respond to feedback, and develop engaging fitness and recreational programmes that encourage loyalty and repeat business.
- Drive business performance: Support membership sales, revenue targets, promotions, marketing initiatives, cost control and operational efficiency to maximise departmental profitability.
- Maintain facilities & resources: Ensure all recreation areas, equipment, supplies and inventory are maintained, monitored and managed according to quality, cleanliness, safety and operational standards.
- Uphold Hilton standards & compliance: Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, health and safety, hygiene, emergency and security procedures while maintaining professional conduct and effective communication across the hotel.

The following capabilities and qualifications would be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of experience in Recreation, Spa, Fitness or Health Club operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of recreation, health club and spa operations, including fitness services, spa treatments and related retail products.
- Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs and communicate effectively with guests, team members and third parties.
- Ability to train, lead, coach, guide and develop team members while maintaining high standards of performance.
