Facility Handover Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspections & Preventive Maintenance

• ● Conduct regular inspections of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• ● Perform preventive maintenance on elevators, fire safety systems, and security infrastructure
• ● Identify potential issues early and report or resolve them before they escalate

1. Repairs & System Maintenance

• ● Carry out plumbing repairs — leaks, clogged drains, faulty fixtures
• ● Maintain water heaters, pumps, and sewage systems
• ● Inspect and repair electrical wiring, outlets, and lighting fixtures
• ● Keep HVAC systems fully functional and energy-efficient

1. Structural & Exterior Maintenance

• ● Inspect and repair roofs, walls, flooring, and external facades
• ● Perform or coordinate painting, sealing, and drainage upkeep
• ● Support landscaping maintenance to keep the property well-kept

1. Emergency Response Support

• ● Respond to urgent maintenance requests — power outages, leaks, broken locks
• ● Provide on-call support for tenant and owner emergencies as scheduled
• ● Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair needs

1. Documentation & Compliance Support

• ● Help organize permits, contracts, and legal documentation for properties
• ● Support compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and operational guidelines
• ● Maintain warranties, maintenance manuals, and service records

1. Inventory & Resource Management

• ● Track maintenance tools, spare parts, and equipment
• ● Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment
• ● Ensure proper storage and handling of materials

1. System Testing & Quality Assurance

• ● Perform final testing of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• ● Verify security, access control, and fire safety systems function correctly
• ● Support implementation of energy efficiency and sustainability measures

1. Defect Documentation & Handover Support

• ● Track remaining defects and follow up with contractors on rectifications
• ● Verify completion of outstanding works ahead of full operational takeover
• ● Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks and project completion

Requirements

Education

• ● Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent technical diploma
• with relevant experience)

Experience

• ● 3–5 years of experience in projects handover, facility management, building maintenance, engineering, or a related
• field
• ● Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in residential or commercial properties
• ● Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and responding to emergency repair requests

Technical Skills

• ● Working knowledge of handover of plumbing, electrical, civil and HVAC systems and standard techniques
• ● Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• ● Familiarity with fire safety, security, and access control systems
• ● Comfortable using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar tracking tools
• ● Basic understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in building operations

Other Requirements

• ● Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance requests, including outside standard hours
• ● Perform inspection and repair work on-site.
• ● Strong attention to detail for compliance documentation and defect tracking
• ● Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors, tenants, and the Facility Management Supervisor
