About The Role

The Risk Officer shall support the risk management function within the BPI Capital Corporation (BPICC) by ensuring that all relevant financial and non-financial risks are identified, measured, managed and monitored within the Board-approved risk appetite and limits. He is responsible for overseeing and coordinating risk management policies, procedures, standards, and other guidelines; and is responsible for the efficient and effective administration, dissemination, and deployment of the entity’s risk management program. Duties and Responsibilities: The position may be assigned with any, a combination, or all of the following responsibilities to assist BPICC and the BPI Parent Risk Management Office (BPI RMO) in establishing an effective and efficient enterprise risk management program through: 3.1. Coordination on the implementation of the risk management program of BPICC and the BPI RMO. 3.2. Updating policies, procedures, and manuals in line with new regulatory rules regarding risk management; 3.3. Performance of risk specific functions such as, but not limited to the following: 3.3.1. Credit Risk Management – review recommendation for any credit exposure, prior to submission to the Investment Committee. 3.3.2. Market Risk Management – set up BPICC’s annual market risk limits and closely coordinate with the BPI RMO to ensure alignment; track market risk exposures through identified metrics; and coordinate market risk breaches and limits reallocation with BPI RMO. 3.3.3. Operational and IT Risk Management – facilitate the preparation and update of operating manuals and other guidelines; conduct the implementation, review, analysis and reporting on identified operational risk management metrics, such as risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), key risk indicators (KRI), incident management and loss events data collection, information security, business continuity management; and review the preparation of required risk assessments for product and service facilities/projects. 3.4. Communication with other risk stakeholders to discuss interdependencies and coordination during risk assessment and the mitigation of risks. 3.5. Validation of action by Risk Owners as part of workflow process for risk management. 3.6. Initiation on the assessment and follow-through of additional controls to be implemented. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Information Technology With knowledge in risk management, compliance, audit, or corporate finance. With at least 2 years banking experience.
