Assistant Brand Manager

About The Role
Overall Role Purpose
The Assistant Brand Manager supports the Marketing & Commercial Manager in the planning and execution of brand activities across Australia and New Zealand. The role focuses on translating brand strategy into actionable plans and delivering high-quality, on-time execution across retail and digital channels.
This role plays a key part in coordinating marketing plans, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and retailer requirements, while contributing to strong commercial outcomes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Marketing Planning & Calendar Management
- Support the development of annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with brand and commercial priorities
- Assist in building and maintaining the ANZ marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with global brand calendars and key retail moments (e.g., EOFY, Black Friday, Boxing Day, Click Frenzy)
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and asset requirements across campaigns and launches
- Support budget tracking and allocation across campaigns and activities
- Campaign Execution & Delivery
- Execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions in line with the approved plan and calendar
- Coordinate end-to-end campaign rollout across retail and e-commerce channels
- Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and retailer specifications
- Work with agencies and internal teams to deliver campaigns on time and to a high standard
- Retail & Trade Marketing Execution
- Support the planning and execution of in-store activations, merchandising, and trade promotions
- Align activities with retailer calendars, exclusives, and promotional windows
- Coordinate POSM, sampling, and in-store visibility to maximize impact
- Partner closely with Sales and Retail teams to ensure smooth in-store execution
Digital & Consumer Engagement
- Assist in planning and executing digital campaigns across paid media, social, CRM, and e-commerce platforms
- Coordinate content rollout based on global assets and local adaptation needs
- Support CRM initiatives including database growth and retention campaigns
- Monitor campaign performance and provide input for optimization
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track sales performance and campaign effectiveness against targets
- Prepare regular reports covering sales updates, campaign results, and competitor activity
- Provide inputs into forecasting and demand planning based on marketing activities
- Maintain accurate tracking of marketing spend, POSM usage and stock and budgets
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a key coordinator across internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Retail, E-commerce, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Liaise with brand partners to ensure proper implementation of campaigns and adherence to brand standards
- Manage communication with agencies (creative, PR, media, digital) to ensure deliverables meet expectations
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., product claims, advertising standards) (if applicable)
- New Launches & Brand Support
- Support the planning and execution of new product and brand launches across ANZ
- Coordinate launch timelines, assets, and retailer requirements
- Ensure readiness across all touchpoints including retail, e-commerce, PR, and influencer activation
Requirements
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in Marketing, Brand, or Trade Marketing roles
- Experience in beauty, FMCG, or retail environment preferred
- Familiarity with ANZ retail landscape is advantageous
- Exposure to digital marketing and campaign execution preferred
