About The Role
Operations Control Center requires a dedicated staff member to oversee both international and domestic shipment monitoring to ensure the timely progression of all logistics activities across the supply chain. This role is responsible for proactively tracking shipments against key operational milestones, identifying potential delays, coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal stakeholders, and implementing corrective actions to minimize service disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor international and domestic shipments from origin to final delivery using carrier portals and tracking platforms.
- Track shipment progress against predefined operational milestones, including pickup, departure, customs clearance, transshipment, arrival, warehouse processing, and final delivery.
- Proactively identify shipment delays, exceptions, and potential risks, and initiate timely escalation to the relevant operational teams.
- Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, warehouses, and internal departments to resolve shipment issues promptly.
- Ensure all shipment milestones are updated accurately and in a timely manner within the systems.
- Investigate shipment exceptions and implement corrective actions to minimize service disruptions and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain continuous communication with sales team and internal stakeholders by providing shipment status updates and expected recovery plans where required.
- Monitor compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and customer-specific delivery requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports on shipment status, milestone performance, delays, exceptions, and recovery actions.
- Provide visibility to Sales team and management during operational disruptions, including transportation delays, customs issues, weather events, and capacity constraints.
- Analyze shipment trends and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, shipment visibility, and on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum ITE qualification and above
- Experience in logistics, shipment tracking, or supply chain operations is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Power BI and Google Sheets is an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities.
