About the role

We’re looking for a People Advisor to join our People Operations team and provide practical, hands-on advice to leaders and employees across a broad range of people matters.

This is an advisory role with a strong focus on end-to-end employee relations case management, stakeholder engagement and influencing. You’ll work closely with People Leaders and People Partners to resolve people matters fairly, consistently and in line with employment obligations.

You’ll join a lean, fast-paced People team where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, take ownership of your work and manage competing priorities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee relations cases, including performance, conduct, grievances and workplace investigations, through to resolution.
• Provide practical and trusted advice to People Leaders, helping them navigate people matters and make sound, consistent decisions.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence leaders to achieve appropriate people outcomes, including respectfully challenging where required.
• Assess people matters, identify risks and determine appropriate actions, escalating complex or sensitive issues when needed.
• Partner with People Partners and key stakeholders on complex cases and broader people initiatives.
• Support employee lifecycle processes, including performance, remuneration and other key people activities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation and reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve People processes, tools and ways of working within a lean team environment.

About you

• Experience in HR Generalist or Employee Relations roles, with hands-on experience managing employee relations matters from assessment through to resolution.
• You have experience owning cases from start to finish, with strong judgement around assessment, action, resolution and escalation.
• You are a confident stakeholder manager and influencer who can build trust and respectfully challenge leaders when required.
• You have a practical understanding of employment law, procedural fairness and workplace relations.
• You are highly organised and able to manage multiple cases, priorities and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
• You are proactive, adaptable and comfortable working autonomously within a lean People team.
• You take ownership, look for ways to improve how things are done and are willing to get involved across the broader People agenda.
