About The Role

JOB SUMMARY

The Expert Events Marketing Specialist owns Veradigm's event portfolio end to end — strategy, audience planning, content, execution, budget and measurement — across industry conferences, client and executive experiences, and internal enterprise meetings. The role is a strategic partner to Marketing, Sales, Client Success and Executive Leadership, translating business priorities into event experiences that advance brand, client engagement and pipeline.

Strategist and operator. This is not a role that executes an established calendar. It determines where Veradigm should engage, who the company needs to reach, what story it should tell, and how the investment will create measurable business impact — then leads the cross-functional work to deliver it. That requires genuine fluency in the healthcare and healthcare technology landscape: providers, payers, life sciences organizations and health IT partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own Veradigm's event strategy and portfolio, ensuring programs align to corporate priorities, business-unit objectives and revenue opportunities.
  • Advise Marketing, Sales, Client Success and Executive Leadership on where Veradigm should engage, evaluating conferences, sponsorships, speaking opportunities and client meetings on strategic relevance and expected business impact.
  • Build event strategies that define business objectives, target audiences, key messages, executive participation and measures of success.
  • Partner with Sales on pre-event account strategy — priority clients and prospects, executive meetings and targeted engagement plans.
  • Lead event narrative and experience design, communicating Veradigm's differentiated value across Provider, Payer and Life Sciences audiences and the broader Veradigm Network.
  • Extend major conferences beyond the booth through executive dinners, advisory councils, client roundtables and thought-leadership sessions.
  • Lead strategy and execution for Veradigm-hosted client and executive events, and for strategic internal programs including leadership meetings, sales kickoffs and town halls.
  • Work with executives and subject-matter experts to develop keynotes, panels, demonstrations and talking points for healthcare industry audiences.
  • Own program management and onsite execution — timelines, workstreams, risk, vendors, agencies and production partners — and manage budgets, contract negotiation and reconciliation.
  • Define success metrics with Marketing and Sales Operations, measure pipeline influence and ROI, and turn post-event findings into recommendations and repeatable playbooks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strategic thinking, with demonstrated ability to translate enterprise and commercial objectives into integrated event strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare and healthcare technology ecosystem, including major industry conferences and associations; experience supporting provider, payer, life sciences or health IT organizations strongly preferred.
  • Program leadership across complex, highly visible, cross-functional initiatives, including the ability to lead teams without direct authority.
  • Executive presence, with demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior leaders.
  • Storytelling that turns complex healthcare technology concepts into compelling audience experiences; excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong grounding in experiential marketing, event production and sponsorship activation.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management, vendor negotiation, business-case development and ROI measurement.
  • Comfort using data and performance metrics to improve event strategy; familiarity with CRM, marketing automation and event management platforms preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical/business experience required.
  • 5+ years of internal and external event and tradeshow expertise required.
  • Healthcare, healthcare technology or other complex B2B industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS AND TRAVEL

  • Standard work week or as defined by assignment requirements; role will be hybrid (2 days in office)
  • Event programs may require irregular hours, evenings, weekends and onsite support during peak periods.
  • Up to 40% travel may be required.
