Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Outpatient Hematology Coagulation Disorders

Introducing a challenging, rewarding opportunity for an advanced practice provider (APP) to join Outpatient Hematology at Mayo Clinic. We are seeking candidates who are innovative, collaborative, compassionate and committed to providing the highest quality care to patients. This APP will be an integral member of our Outpatient Hematology group practice. In this position, you will care for adult patients with bleeding and clotting disorders, including hemophilia, thrombosis, and patients at increased risk for thrombosis, such as those with concurrent or newly diagnosed malignancy. Your role may also include cross-coverage for other nonmalignant hematology conditions. Responsibilities will include comprehensive patient assessment, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and radiologic exams, diagnosis and prognostic interpretation, and developing treatment plans or providing recommendations to referring providers. Outpatient care will include new patient consultations as well as follow-up of patients with established hematologic conditions. In Outpatient Hematology, you will develop expertise within our comprehensive, supportive orientation process. You will be trained to work autonomously in a supportive team environment with consultants, nurses, and other support staff. In the Division of Hematology, you will benefit from professional growth opportunities to participate in research, quality improvement projects, and pursue leadership and development through academic rank. You will enjoy opportunities to educate and mentor students and other colleagues by serving as a preceptor, participating in journal club, and providing poster and oral presentations within and outside of Mayo Clinic.

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP. DNP preferred. Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. Must be eligible for DEA registration. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Hematology experience preferred.
