You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities

The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating the Big Red sealer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Big Red sealer
  • May use computer to load printer software
  • Set up and verify weigh scale
  • Load/unload sealing equipment with product and packaging material
  • Recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required
  • Inspect and verify product according to quality standards
  • Work with Machine Technician to resolve problems with equipment
  • Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation
  • Break down scrap packages
  • Able to work effectively within small teams
  • Accurately complete scrap tickets
  • Accurately complete daily production sheet
  • Accurately update hourly goal board
  • Maintain production pace and standards
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
  • Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Basic computer skills

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of machine operation experience preferred
