Supervision Manager

About The Role
The Supervision Manager will act as the Consultant’s official representative to UNOPS under the construction supervision contract for a correctional facility project. In this capacity, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Administering the contract in accordance with UNOPS requirements and FIDIC principles;
- Monitoring project schedules, extension of time requests, claims, change orders, and value engineering initiatives;
- Reviewing and managing RFIs, technical submittals, shop drawings, and the Contractor’s work methods;
- Coordinating technical specialists and overseeing site supervision activities;
- Verifying that the works, materials, and equipment comply with the drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements;
- Ensuring quality control, monitoring testing activities, managing non-conformities, and implementing corrective actions;
- Monitoring completed quantities and construction progress against the approved schedule;
- Preparing technical and contractual recommendations, as well as supervision reports for UNOPS;
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and social responsibility requirements in collaboration with the HSSE Manager;
- Coordinating with UNOPS, the Contractor, correctional facility authorities, and other project stakeholders;
- Leading the supervision team and participating in coordination meetings, technical review sessions, and contract management activities.
 
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
- Experience working on the construction of vertical infrastructure projects, such as institutional, government, correctional, healthcare, industrial, or commercial buildings;
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and/or international contract administration;
- Excellent understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes in construction;
- Proven experience in risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
