About The Role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Manager based in India.
This role is responsible for driving sales growth and business development across an assigned <territory.You> will build and expand a portfolio of B2B customers while strengthening relationships with existing accounts.The position combines new business development, account management, customer engagement, and commercial <execution.You> will work closely with dealers and other key stakeholders to develop opportunities and support the sales process.The role also involves providing product and technical guidance to major accounts and ensuring a high level of customer <service.You> will monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and pricing trends to identify opportunities and inform commercial decisions.This is a permanent, full-time position suited to an experienced sales professional with a strong background in industrial or capital equipment markets.
Accountabilities
- Achieve sales, revenue, and business development targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify, qualify, pursue, and develop new customer accounts to expand the business.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through effective account management and regular engagement.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, dealers, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify customer needs and translate them into appropriate product and commercial opportunities.
- Prepare quotations and coordinate with dealership partners throughout the sales process.
- Provide product information and technical support to major account customers as required.
- Manage customer accounts proactively, ensuring high standards of service, responsiveness, and satisfaction.
- Develop opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, market developments, and customer trends within the territory.
- Use market and customer insights to identify new business opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements and commercial activities.
Requirements
- Graduate or diploma holder in any discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within material handling equipment, capital equipment, industrial equipment, or a related sector.
- Proven experience in business development, territory management, and strategic account management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and convert new business opportunities while retaining and expanding existing accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of B2B sales cycles and customer decision-making processes.
- Experience building productive relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, and other business stakeholders.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and communicate product or technical information effectively.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, influencing, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to service and long-term relationship building.
- Analytical approach and ability to monitor competitors, pricing, and market trends.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing a territory independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to support customers, dealers, and business development activities.
