QA / QC Engineer

About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale data centre project. While experience within data centres is beneficial, it is not required.
Candidates with a strong mechanical or electrical background in building services, commercial construction, industrial projects, or MEP installation are strongly encouraged to apply.
The QA/QC Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all works are executed to the highest quality standards, fully compliant with project specifications, industry codes, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret technical documents including drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and RAMS.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as checklists, inspection records, NCRs, technical reports, and handover files.
- Verify that subcontractors follow approved quality procedures.
Site Inspection and Testing
- Conduct daily site inspections of mechanical and/or electrical installations (HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, electrical distribution, containment, etc.).
- Ensure all works conform to project requirements and relevant standards.
- Witness and sign off on MEP testing and commissioning activities.
- Identify issues, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with construction managers, commissioning teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Participate in quality meetings, coordination sessions, and client walkdowns.
- Support the preparation of handover documentation including O&M manuals, redlines/as-builts, and test reports.
Continuous Improvement
- Assist in developing and improving quality processes across the project.
- Provide feedback and lessons learned to support ongoing project quality enhancement.
Education & Experience
- Degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in construction, commercial buildings, industrial plants, or MEP contracting.
- Previous QA/QC experience preferred, but strong engineering candidates looking to transition into QA/QC are welcome.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, documentation, and inspections.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
