Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Control Supervisor at our Carlin operation. The successful candidate will manage, coach, lead and mentor the Process Operations team.

Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will support process control systems: Engineer, maintain, and troubleshoot process control systems, instruments, Ethernet networks, other process control related computer hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain PLC logic, alarms, interlocks, and operator displays for safe and optimized control with functionality.
- Help other groups manage projects performed by their technicians and contractors.
- Candidate may work directly with vendors and contractors.
- Update documentation and control strategies to facilitate improved process control system maintenance, updates, and expansions. Control systems include Schneider Electric (Modicon), Allen Bradley, DeltaV, Wonderware and others.
- Lead and mentor other Engineers and Technicians in growing their technical and personal abilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Computer related or general Engineering degree or minimum of 5 years experience in Process Control
- PC/server and Ethernet networking troubleshooting ability required
- Experience in programming control systems required
- Experience leading and mentoring other Engineers and Technicians required
- Troubleshooting principles and methods used in process control and processing analysis required
- Experience in installing integrating and programming PLC systems required
- Experience using AutoCAD required
- Ability to lead, mentor, and follow teams and technicians that creates and enhances the Nevada Gold Mine and the team vision required
- Ability to research, analyze information, draw conclusions, and take action to resolve process control issues in an operating plant required
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to provide guidelines to plant operations to achieve safety and production goals in a safe, environmentally and economic manner required
- To monitor and adjust computer operating systems to achieve optimum and safe production. Includes directing Processing activities to ensure production efficiency.
- Responsible for computer control of all circuits affecting process, supervising and directing all related processing activities.
- Monitor and adjust control room operating system as needed for maximum plant efficiency.
- Make daily process operating decisions.
- Monitor plant efficiency. Direct the workforce as needed for optimum production.
- Maintain accurate records and provide reports to Process General Foremen and Managers on a routine basis.
- Supervise and direct Processing activities.
- Schedule work orders, preventative maintenance, equipment, employee PTO, and training.
- Interview prospective employees and conduct department orientation for new hires and transfers.
- Conduct safety meetings, staff meetings, and safety and environmental inspections.
- Review performance for hourly and non-exempt employees using established systems and methods.
- Perform task training on equipment and procedures, including but not limited to proper lock-out of electrical equipment.
- Respond to emergencies that could cause injury, equipment or facility damage, or loss to production.
- Communicate department status with supervision and interface with other departments.
- Assist in developing departmental procedures and policies, administer discipline, enforce company policy, enforce state and federal laws and environmental compliance.
- Assist in cost control.
- Oversee input of plant repair and new installations start-up.
