About The Role
Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including concrete admixtures and specialty products used throughout the construction industry.
MAPEI is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Leader – Concrete Admixtures to strengthen our market position and drive sustainable financial growth. Working closely with the Area Sales Director, this position will identify new business opportunities, support product development and launches, expand strategic customer relationships, and provide leadership to the regional sales team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Area Sales Director to develop and implement strategies that strengthen MAPEI’s market position and drive profitable growth.
- Identify and secure new customers while expanding regional and national account relationships within the concrete admixtures market.
- Work with Product Line Managers to translate customer needs and market insights into innovative concrete admixture products and solutions.
- Lead new-product launches, coordinating training, inventory support, and customer adoption to achieve sales objectives.
- Follow up on leads from trade shows, the website, and Technical Services, and support project opportunities through successful completion.
- Support strategic account and contractor programs, ensuring accurate account setup, purchase tracking, and reporting.
- Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and strengthen MAPEI’s value proposition.
- Communicate area strategy and mentor the sales team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Represent MAPEI at industry associations, conferences, and customer events to build relationships and gather market insights.
- Prepare monthly business reports and assist the Area Sales Director with sales forecasts, budgets, and progress toward growth targets.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and instructions as defined in our Quality Management System (QMS), Employee Handbook, Health and Safety manual, or any other instruction issued by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- In this role, you will earn a competitive annual base salary based between $145,000 - $155,000 depending on your experience and qualifications.
- Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, which is a variable percentage of your base salary based on individual performance and Company results.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus four to six years of related sales, marketing, or business-development experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of concrete admixtures or construction materials, including product applications and market trends.
- Proven ability to develop new business, build customer relationships, and achieve sales goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and planning skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate with sales teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work independently.
- Proficient in Windows-based PC use, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet navigation.
