About The Role
Leadership
- Must have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in supervision of a quality department.
- Must have a proven record leading and developing people
- Leadership skills, assertiveness, initiative, planning/organizing and follow-up monitoring
- Develops departmental bench strength through personnel development
- Provide guidance and develop accountability system to ensure that all SOP’s and process controls are followed
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Communication
- Experience relaying sensitive information to appropriate parties. Keeps customers, superiors, peers and direct reports updated based on their information needs
- Is an articulate speaker in a variety of settings. Easily adjusts the message to match the audience.
- Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.
- Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities.
- Lead and encourage continuous improvement efforts.
- Works across departments to identify and implement specific quality initiatives
- Involve managers, supervisors and employee teams in continuous improvement efforts
- Coordinate development of written communication including standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Comfortable speaking to audiences
Experience/Skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Must be capable of implementing process controls that validate and insure that procedures are followed
- Skilled at completing audits of manufacturing floor for compliance to standards
- Investigate quality errors, internal and external, and issue corrective action
- Assure that SOP’s are created, trained, enforced and audited.
- Experience of ISO Requirements is a must.
- Analyze current processes to identify and prioritize opportunities that would result in improved service to customers and/or improve productivity/efficiency
- Develop (and/or sustain), communicate and monitor quality tracking systems
- Identify, specify, document and implement manufacturing best practices methods, procedures, tooling and equipment required to support operations.
- Experience with PPAP process up to level 4.
- Extensive knowledge of GD&T is a must.
