About The Role
Job Purpose
Responsible for driving business development and commercial growth across assigned markets and key accounts in the region. The role will lead commercial and chartering activities from opportunity identification and tendering through contract negotiation and award, while building strong client relationships and supporting the achievement of revenue, gross profit, and asset utilisation targets.
Working closely with the GM, APAC and regional teams, the role will also support strategic partnerships, new market entry, and cross-border growth opportunities across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business development and manage the commercial pipeline across assigned APAC markets and key accounts, identifying and securing opportunities to achieve annual sales revenue and gross profit targets while supporting effective asset utilisation.
- Lead commercial and chartering activities including pre-qualifications, RFQs, tenders, bid strategy, pricing and cost modelling, internal approvals, and contract negotiations.
- Manage commercial forecasting and reporting, maintaining accurate pipeline and CRM records covering opportunities, awards, revenue, gross profit, asset utilisation, and key follow-up actions.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
- Support regional growth initiatives including strategic partnerships, new market entry, and cross-border opportunities across APAC.
- Ensure commercial activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, procedures, and HSQE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant commercial, business development, chartering, or sales experience within the offshore marine, oil & gas, EPC, marine logistics, or related maritime/infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of offshore marine transportation, logistics, chartering, and project-based tendering.
- Proven experience in business development, tender preparation, pricing and cost modelling, contract negotiation, and commercial evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, generate new opportunities, and manage key accounts across multiple markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with a good understanding of revenue, gross profit, margins, contractual risk, and asset utilisation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging senior-level clients.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities with limited supervision.
