We're looking for an experienced Applications Support Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for working directly with customers. - What you'll be doing
- As a Senior Applications Support Engineer, you'll become a trusted technical partner to our customers across Taiwan and the wider semiconductor industry.
You will
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers, building strong long-term relationships and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Guide customers through application development, data collection and method optimisation.
- Support the successful delivery of applications projects and customer evaluations.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges relating to instrument performance and measurement results.
- Generate high-quality technical reports and present findings to customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Run sample demonstrations and characterisation studies that showcase the capabilities of our technology.
- Support business growth through customer engagement, conference activity and technical presentations.
- Work closely with engineering, product management and scientific teams to influence future product development.
What we're looking for
Essential
- Extensive hands-on experience with Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) or probe microscopy.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent Mandarin and Advanced English language skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working directly with customers, researchers or engineering teams.
- The right to live and work in Taiwan and live within 60 minutes of our customer (IMC) in Tainan City
Highly desirable
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Semiconductor metrology expertise.
- Experience supporting advanced analytical or characterisation instrumentation.
- Project management experience.
- Experience running demonstrations, evaluations or proof-of-concept activities.
- Commercial awareness and customer-facing applications experience.
