THE ROLE

Halter is scaling fast. More products, more customers, more complexity. That means a supply chain spanning contract manufacturing partners in Asia, a global component supplier base, and customers across global markets. We need someone to build it.

The Head of Supply Chain owns everything from demand signal to customer delivery. You'll lead the S&OP, supply planning, sourcing, and logistics functions, building a team and a supply chain that is fast, resilient, and capable of scaling with a company that is growing quickly across multiple hardware products and geographies.

This is a leadership role as much as a functional one. You'll spend as much time developing your team, building relationships across the business, and shaping how we operate as you will solving day-to-day supply chain problems. You'll work closely with our hardware, operations, commercial, and finance leadership to make sure the supply chain is never the constraint on Halter's growth.

You'll own the supply chain function. That means full accountability for performance across supply availability, cost, lead times, and logistics. And it means shaping the strategy, not just executing it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and develop the S&OP, supply planning, sourcing, and logistics functions, building a high-performing team that can scale with Halter.
  • Set a clear direction for the supply chain function, ensure every part of the team understands what they're accountable for, and hold a high bar on delivery.
  • Develop the people in your team. Invest in their growth, give them stretch and challenge, and build the depth of capability the function will need as Halter grows.
  • Build the culture of the supply chain team: high ownership, low ego, fast-moving, and deeply connected to the rest of the business.

S&OP AND INTEGRATED PLANNING

  • Own the S&OP process at Halter, ensuring we have a reliable, well-governed cadence that produces a reconciled demand and supply plan the business can commit to.
  • Drive alignment between commercial and operational teams on forecast, capacity, and supply position, making sure the right trade-offs are surfaced and resolved at pace.
  • Ensure the supply chain always has a clear forward view of demand, and that supply plans are proactively adjusted before gaps become crises.

SOURCING AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

  • Own the sourcing strategy across Halter's supply base, ensuring we have the right suppliers, the right commercial terms, and the right relationships to support our growth.
  • Build a supplier base that is resilient, competitive, and capable of scaling with us, reducing single-source dependency and geographic concentration where it creates unacceptable risk.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key suppliers and ensure supplier performance is actively managed against clear expectations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations on major supply agreements, with a focus on total cost of ownership, lead time, and supply security.

SUPPLY PLANNING AND INVENTORY

  • Ensure we have a supply planning function that translates demand into accurate material requirements, maintains healthy inventory positions, and keeps purchase orders moving reliably through the supply chain.
  • Own inventory strategy across the portfolio, balancing availability against working capital and ensuring the business always has a clear picture of stock position and risk.
  • Identify and resolve structural issues in how we plan supply before they become operational problems.

LOGISTICS

  • Own the end-to-end logistics function, ensuring product moves from our manufacturing partners to our customers efficiently, reliably, and at the right cost.
  • Build and manage relationships with freight and logistics partners, ensuring service levels are met and costs are competitive.
  • Develop a logistics strategy that can scale with Halter's geographic expansion and growing product portfolio, including customs, compliance, and in-country distribution.

STRATEGY AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

  • Own the supply chain strategy for Halter, defining the roadmap for how we build a supply chain that is a genuine competitive advantage as we scale.
  • Work closely with hardware, operations, commercial, and finance leadership to ensure the supply chain is aligned to the business strategy and never the constraint on growth.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Delivery Lead on NPI and sustaining programme delivery, ensuring the supply chain is set up to support every product launch, change and volume ramp.
  • Build the metrics, reporting, and governance that give the exec team and the board clear visibility of supply chain performance and risk.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Significant experience leading supply chain functions in a hardware or electronics manufacturing environment, ideally across multiple products and geographies. You've owned the whole function, not just one part of it.
  • A track record of building and developing high-performing teams. You're a leader people want to work for, and you've got the results to show for it.
  • Deep functional expertise across S&OP, supply planning, sourcing, and logistics. You know each discipline well enough to set the direction, challenge the thinking, and develop strong people in each area.
  • Strong strategic instincts alongside operational credibility. You can set a three-year supply chain strategy and also know what's in the supply plan this week.
  • A track record of building supply chain resilience, including diversifying supply bases, reducing critical lead times, and building the kind of supply chain that holds up under pressure.
  • Excellent commercial judgement. You've led complex supplier negotiations, you understand total cost of ownership, and you make supply chain decisions with the business outcome clearly in mind.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership. You've built strong relationships across hardware, commercial, finance, and operations teams and you know how to lead through influence as well as authority.
  • Clear, direct communication at every level. You can give a board-level supply chain update and a detailed supplier performance review, and you know what each audience needs.
  • A bias for speed and a hatred of unnecessary complexity. You build supply chains that are lean, clear, and fast, and you resist the temptation to add process for the sake of it.
  • Low ego and comfortable with discomfort. You lean into hard conversations, raise the awkward thing early, and never shy away from tension when it needs to be resolved. You have strong opinions and hold them loosely, changing your mind fast when someone has a better answer.
  • You're fun and a joy to work with. Leading a supply chain function is intense and high-stakes. You bring energy, humour, and optimism to it, and people are better for having you around.
