Operations Excellence Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and hands-on problem solver to identify and fix inefficiencies across different areas of the business.

You will dive into complex or unclear problems, structure them, work with data, identify root causes, quantify impact, and recommend practical solutions. The scope can range from costs, payments and vendors to internal processes, operational metrics and cross-functional workflows.

This is not a traditional operations coordination or reporting role. We are looking for someone who can independently take a problem from analysis to solution and use AI and automation to make improvements scalable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate inefficiencies across different operational areas
• Structure ambiguous problems, analyse data and identify root causes
• Quantify financial and operational impact and evaluate potential solutions
• Run deep dives into areas such as vendor spend, payments, banking costs, cash flows and internal processes
• Build lightweight models, dashboards and decision-support analysis
• Work across teams to understand how processes actually work and where they can be improved
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to leadership
• Build AI-powered workflows and automations with Claude to replace recurring manual analysis and processes
• Track implemented improvements and measure their impact

What makes you the perfect fit

• 5+ years in a highly analytical role such as FP&A, business/commercial finance, operations, strategy, consulting or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable going from an unclear question to a structured recommendation
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and ability to build practical models from incomplete data
• Ability to understand processes end-to-end and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and unnecessary complexity
• Self-directed and comfortable working across different domains without waiting for perfect data
• Clear communication and ability to present trade-offs and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Practical experience with Claude or similar AI tools, with interest in building repeatable workflows and automations

Will be a plus

• Experience with payments, treasury, procurement, vendor spend, SaaS, ERP data or high-growth technology companies.
• Experience building repeatable AI workflows (not one-off chat sessions)
