About The Role
Work tasks: A bricklayer is responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of various structures made of brick, stone, and concrete block. This work encompasses both interior and exterior work, including residential, commercial, and industrial construction. A bricklayer must be familiar with the properties of various building materials and be able to select the appropriate materials according to the project and the client's specifications. The work requires physical endurance, precision, and attention to detail. A bricklayer must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and, if necessary, at heights. A bricklayer must be familiar with modern construction technologies and methods and be willing to continually improve their knowledge and skills. A bricklayer must be conscientious, accurate, and reliable, capable of completing work tasks on time and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Construction of walls and structures from brick, stone, and concrete blocks
- Performing repair and maintenance work on existing masonry
- Selection and preparation of materials in accordance with the design
- Maintaining tools and equipment in working order
- Collaborating with other construction professionals
- Inspecting and evaluating the quality of work
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace
Foundation Construction
- Preparing the ground for the building's foundation
- Installing and maintaining foundation formwork
